Never Experience a Broken Link Again: A new age of context-sensitive-help!

Context sensitive help has traditionally served the narrow function of providing single in-application help pages hard-linked to specific application screens. Hard-coding URLs or context IDs requires constant maintenance and does readily support dynamic content re-use models. On the other hand, modern applications developed with an Agile approach require robust scenario-based, contextually relevant user assistance, often based on a diverse, dynamic and personalized set of parameters: application version, configuration, user role and entitlements and more.

In this session, we will introduce a modern approach to contextual user assistance that leverages taxonomy, semantic queries, and auto fallback rules. This model allows you to always provide the most relevant answer, while eliminating the danger of broken links and the high-maintenance overhead of mapping applications to your documentation.

This model also lays the foundation for Internet of Things (IoT) apps and Augmented Reality (AR) scenarios.

What can attendees expect to learn?

This session will introduce a modern, dynamic approach to providing your customers with in-app user assistance. You will learn how to leverage taxonomy and classification to build a robust contextually-relevant help system.
