L&T and beyond: Advanced questions and interactions in DITA

Based on the DITA specialization mechanism, advanced interaction types can be modeled. Besides the ‘out of the box’ questions and interactions, we have used DITA to create multimedia, and responsive interactions such as acrostic word, fill in the blank and graphical gap match.

These ‘new’ question types are available as open source DITA OT plugin. Furthermore in the plugin some special content elements as dialogue and translation list are integrated.

Birgit Strackenbrock and Jan Benedictus present the use cases, question types and show some live examples.
