Announcing CIDM’s 17th edition of the DITA Europe Conference


DITA Europe is on the move!

Based on feedback from attendees and our brainstorming sessions, we have changed the event name back to DITA Europe and we are moving to February, providing a little more breathing room between technical communication events during the year.

We are also migrating to our most northern spot yet: Helsinki, Finland! It may be cold and dark outside, but inside enjoy the warmth of friends and colleagues and the enlightening presentations of industry professionals.

We are pleased to announce the 2024 Vendor Program. CIDM is no longer in the business of selling booth space and attendee lists at our conferences. Instead, we offer you an opportunity to get involved in the program.

We invite you to:

  • Submit proposals to speak about industry best practices and trends
  • Conduct test kitchens that highlight your product
  • Take advantage of one of our Sponsorship Opportunities, to increase your visibility
  • Attend sessions to gain insight on attendee concerns and questions
  • Get to know attendees through engaging in personal conversations
  • Scan attendees’ badge QR codes to build your contact list

Rather than pay for booth space, you need only to pay for your registration.

DITA Europe will be held at the Scandic Park Helsinki Hotel on 12-13 February 2024.  In 2024, all Vendors will simply pay for their registration(s). If you are interested in having a “branded workspace,” (formerly referred to as a Booth) you will need to purchase 2 full price registrations ($995/each) for a total fee $1,990.00 (USD). Branded Workspaces will be located in the “Explore Ballroom” where all social events will be held (breaks, lunches, coffee, cocktail reception). Test kitchens (product show-case/demonstration sessions) are also available ($1,000/ea) and are a great way to show off your products! The Test Kitchen fee does not include a registration.

Benefits to having a branded workspace:

  • All social functions are held in the community hall
  • Visibility during Monday evening’s social event, where attendees can leisurely visit your space and discuss your product in-depth (bar and hors d’oeuvres included)
  • A table, 2 chairs, electrical outlets, and Wifi
  • Full-color logo on the website 

Important Details for DITA Europe:

  • Vendors are not required to exhibit, in order to present on the main program; however, you must pay for the speaker’s registration. All team members, including presenters, pay full price of $995.
  • Vendors are no longer required to exhibit to host a test kitchen; however, you will pay for your registration in addition to the test kitchen fee of $1,000. Test kitchens are limited and will be awarded based on the date payment is received.
  • Vendors who have paid for 2 registrations at $995/each will qualify for a branded-space (booth) at DITA Europe. (Vendors are not eligible for the multiple registrations discount.)
  • Your participation at DITA Europe will reduce your Branded Space requirement at ConVEx Minneapolis.
  • Instead of sending vendors an opt-in attendee list – ALL attendees may scan a fellow attendee’s QRCODE to collect contact information. QRCODES will provide vendors with more qualified leads than providing the dwindling opt-in attendee list.

Cancellation Policy

If cancellation is necessary, we will refund all fees, less a $100 administrative fee if you cancel before 19 January 2024. We will refund 50% of the conference registration fee for cancellations made between 19 January 2024 – 2 February 2024. If you do not attend and do not cancel before 3 February 2024, we are unable to offer a refund.
